The 1740 multi-folding interior shutter hardware is ideally suited for
custom interior window shutter or room dividing installations of wooden
louvered panels or 'plantation' type shutters. The 1740 is 'top hung'
hardware, all panel weight carried by track/hanger and can handle
individual panel weights up to 20 lbs. [9 kg] each.
1740 Pivots and Hangers feature Johnson Hardware's®
quick disconnect system allowing door panels to be easily
installed or removed. The 1740 steel components are made from heavy
gauge (14-16) steel for high strength and long life and zinc
dichromate plated for corrosion protection and a quality finish. Track
lengths are available up to 192" [4877mm].

Doors suspended in perfect balance from
track, smooth door action, bottom guide track optional. 1st panel from
jamb must be 1/2 width.

INSTALLATION
Doors suspended from top edge of each panel
so all panels can be same width and for maximum panel coverage. Total
panel weight is to one side, bottom door guides and track recommended.

Johnson
Hardware recommends that single track lengths be used wherever possible
to avoid door hangers passing over track joints. If multiple track
lengths are to be used ensure that track and door panels are positioned
so that no door hanger/guide passed over track joints. |
