I have used Johnson
Hardware pocket door kits for years. I am a remodeling contractor in
the Cincinnati area. In my own home I carved out a corner for a 1st
floor laundry room with very limited space henceforth the use of
pocket doors! 95% of the time the doors are open so they remain out
of site, out of mind. I like using the prefabricated 2700 series
for quick installation. The doors I used in this remodel are solid
core birch slabs which are very heavy but glide with ease. The house
was built in 1959 with open beamed ceilings throughout on 4 acres!
How lucky I was to find this gem.
